AIANI for Students

One of AIANI's major goals is to enhance student exchange between Israel and the University of Innsbruck
and to support a new generation of researchers.

Semester Abroad in Israel

AIANI has several student exchange agreements (including the Eramus+ program) with partner institutions in Israel.

​Students from Innsbruck who want to study in Israel as "Free Mover" are welcome to contact AIANI for assistance. The academic network has connections to various universities and research institutions in Israel and can also provide logistical help as well as advices regarding scholarships, grants and visa procedures.

Summer School and Short-Term Programs

The Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva offers a German-Speaking short-term program to learn the Hebrew language every summer. The six-week program starts in August and offers, in addition to the intensive Hebrew course, weekly excursions and a series of daily lectures on topics of German-Jewish history and culture.

​The Rothberg International School (RIS) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem offers a wide range of short-term and summer study abroad courses. These courses are designed for undergraduate and graduate students and aim to go beyond the classroom: Students from more than 90 countries around the world participate each summer and experience interesting seminars, fun activites and local trips that are designed to help explore Israel's geographic and cultural landscape.

Semester Abroad in Innsbruck

Israeli students who want to study at the University of Innsbruck are welcome to contact AIANI for assistance. The academic network has connections to various universities and research institutions in Israel and can also provide logistical help as well as advices regarding scholarships, grants and visa procedures.  


German Language Courses

The University of Innsbruck offers intensive German courses every summer for 3 – 6 weeks in July and August. Language classes will take place in the mornings with approx. 15 participants per class. In the afternoon various leisure activities are offered to get to know Innsbruck and the surroundings. The Center for Austrian Studies at the Hebrew University offers every year scholarships to its students to participate.
