AIANI Guest Professor Program (former AIANI Guest Scientist Program)
The AIANI-Guest Professor Program (formerly AIANI Guest Scientist Program) aims at bringing exceptional academics and researchers from Israel to Innsbruck. The Guest Professor is expected to work on a joint research project with Innsbruck colleagues and to teach a course at the respective department. The research/teaching stay usually consists of one month, during which the Guest Professor will be given a work contract as “Guest Professor” at the University of Innsbruck. The details of the contract will depend on the amount of teaching and research hours.
Applications can be made by any Innsbruck faculty member or department who is interested in working together with an Israeli colleague. We support researchers from all academic departments and fields of study! The AIANI Guest Professor is expected to be in residence for the duration of the stay. The program does not support, as a primary activity, off-side research. Guest Professors usually give a public lecture during their stay in Innsbruck, which is organized by AIANI, together with the respective department. This should further promote the academic exchange, enhance the visibility of outstanding Israeli scientists in Innsbruck and especially give the university community and the interested general public the opportunity to get to know the research work of the Guest Professor. |
