Prof. Fantalkin was invited by Prof. Robert Rollinger from the Department of Ancient History and Acient Oriental Studies at the University of Innsbruck.
The research visit focused on strengthing the cooperation between the University of Innsbruck and the Tel Aviv University and special attention was put on discussing future plans for joint scientific ventures, in particular in the fields that study the interactions between the Greek World and the Ancient Near East during the Iron Age.
Prof. Fantalkin also met with several students from the University of Innsbruck, in order to discuss their academic advances and research.
Furthermore, Prof. Fantalkin gave a public lecture on "Mediterranean Chronology during the Iron Age: Where Do We Stand?" The lecture was well-attended by both students and faculty members, resulting in an inspiring discussions before and after the talk.
