| From June 19-21 2016, the international conference „700 Years of Jewish Presence in Tyrol“ was organized at the University of Innsbruck and the Golden Roof Museum. The conference focused on the importance of the Jewish presence in the transit country Tyrol, which has always linked the north and the south, the east and the west. The history of Judaism in Tirol and the Jewish property of handwriting from Tyrol libraries and archives was addressed by more than 15 international experts from England, France, Austria, Israel, Germany and Italy. The conference was organized by PD Dr. Ursula Schattner-Rieser and Prof. Josef Oesch from the University of Innsbruck. AIANI partly sponsored the conference and gave logistical as well as organizational support.
